World Leaders in High Energy Impact Compaction
MATERIAL RANGE
Landpac HEIC is capable of compacting over a wide range of materials from Medium Plasticity Clays through to Rockfill.
DEEP IN-SITU GROUND IMPROVEMENT
The depth of influence of HEIC treatment can be as deep as 5.0 m, depending on the nature of the material being compacted.
Ground improvement to Engineering Specifications is typically measured to effective depths of 2.5 – 3.0m.
In-situ soils can thus be improved without the need for expensive excavation and re-engineering.
THICK LAYERWORKS
Thickness of the layer-works can be increased from the conventional 150-300mm to typical thicknesses for HEIC Compaction of between 600-1200mm, depending on the material being compacted [up to 2000mm for Rockfill Layers].
Such Thick Lift layer-works allows for drastically increased productivity and utilization of earthmoving equipment. Also, greater particle sizes can be accommodated within thick layers thereby reducing the need for crushing/breaking down of large particles in fill materials.
ROCKFILL AND LARGE PARTICLE COMPACTION
Treating Rockfill layerworks with HEIC has the following benefits:
-
Improves the strength profile of the layer
-
Increases productivity
-
Allows for increased particle sizes, up to 2/3rds the thickness of the layer. This reduces the amount of crushing required to reduce the maximum particle size.
INDUCED SETTLEMENT
Landpac HEIC treatment can be utilized to induce Settlement and Differential Settlement on sites to eliminate the risk of any future such settlements due to future infrastructure development loads.
Landpac HEIC is typically applied on site to a point of “Settlement Refusal” which is defined as the point at which the average settlement over the area being treated with HEIC is less than 10mm over the last 10 passes of HEIC.
