World Leaders in High Energy Impact Compaction
HIGH ENERGY AND INCREASED COMPACTION LOADS
The contact pressures measured during impact during HEIC Compaction typically range between 350 kN/m²- 1,500 kN/m² dependent on material and soil conditions. This is far higher than typical future foundation and surface pressures from Infrastructure developments.
IMPACT SPACING & COVERAGE
The split mass configuration of the Landpac HEIC machines ensures 100% site surface coverage
WIDER RANGE OF MOISTURE CONTENT
Landpac HEIC has the ability to compact over a wider range of moisture content, particularly dry of OMC. This is possible due to the higher energy, when compared to that of conventional drum rollers.
INCREASED DEPTH OF INFLUENCE
Compaction energy is transferred in the form of a “rolling impact” (type of kneading effect) resulting in a relatively longer load duration, leading to a softer soil response to the load.
High surface contact pressure coupled to the kneading effect and a relatively larger contact area results in increased depth of influence.
Ground improvement is typically measured to effective depths of although improvement up to and beyond has been recorded.
